One of the reasons people want to change is they are not happy where they are at. In this case, Point A. Or Totally external reason the change is inevitable. In either case, the change is scary as tomorrow will be unknown and hard until B point. As Robin Sharma says, “Change is hard at first, Messy in the middle and gorgeous at the end.”
We totally agree with him. The change is hard at the beginning of the change process due to a lack of clarity. But when the change starts, progress and momentum help you feel better day by day. The important point is not being disappointed or give up when it is harder. It will get harder before it is easier.
Therefore,
During the change, remember your mission, the major goal that causes this change. If you know “your why “enough, the change will get easier as you will work harder to make the change happened.
Action #1: Know your “Why” and remember it daily.
When something is getting hard, it is a sign that you need to “learn” something new. It means instead of giving up, you just need to create a task for learning.
Action #2: Create a task just ‘to learn it’ when it gets harder. Another point is keeping motivated during the hard marathon. It is hard to be motivated all the time but it is not impossible. The important equation as Action #3.
Action #3: Motivation = Momentum so keep the momentum until you get point B.
The last point is the celebration at the end of the marathon. People ignore this most of the time but actually, it is crucial to finish the line by remembering your gift at the end of the road.
